[0.00–7.48] Constable Caldo Sanj was arrested this morning in Surrey. He is charged with four counts
[7.48–15.56] of fraud over $5,000, four counts of theft over $5,000 and one count of breach of trust
[15.56–22.72] by a public officer, a co-accused by the name of Sarah Jeet Singill faces six charges, three
[22.72–29.56] counts of fraud over $5,000 and three counts of theft over $5,000. The charges relate
[29.56–36.80] to alleged crimes between the years of 2017 and 2025. Caldo Sanj has been a member of the
[36.80–44.48] VPD for decades and is perhaps best known for his work with the charity Kids Play. A search
[44.48–50.32] warrant was executed today at Kids Play and source to say numerous other search warrants
[50.32–57.48] were executed as well. Through his lawyer, Caldo Sanj has told us that he is innocent and
[57.48–65.48] has committed no crimes. The VPD say the charges follow a two-and-a-half-years-long covert
[65.48–71.24] investigation. They're holding a press conference tomorrow morning at 10 a.m., we will be there
