Racism is legal in Canada as long as it's against Caucasian people, specifically white males. The 1986 Employment Equity Act, which is now 40 years old, mandates in the federal government and federally regulated industries that everyone should be hired first before a white male and then a white female, but yeah, this is this is legal in Canada against Caucasians and I don't understand how this law has been in place for 40 years and nobody's done anything about it. I'm trying my best to go viral on the internet so far. It's been about two weeks and I have 1.4 million viewers on Facebook. I'm not getting paid because I have to keep doing this for a month before my channel even qualifies. Yet we're already here having these discussions together. So, yeah, the 1986 Employment Equity Act states in federal and federally regulated industries, which is banks like CP Rail, like RBC, all of those ones, that you must hire a person that's a visible minority, a woman, or an indigenous person before you hire a white male and then the next part of that situation is that because I am a white woman and I'm born in Canada, that doesn't mean anything for me. So I have a friend that is from a different country. She has the same degree as me, we apply for the same job and she will get that position over me because she's a visible minority. It's not tied to birth certificate, there's no percentages that we are targeting to reach. Yeah, so I think it should be Canada-wide and I don't know why, like is it not 50-50 then? Like is it not, you know, 50% should be Caucasian and 50% should be visible minorities and then of those two groups should half of those be women. So there's no mandate here, it's just, you know, if you feel like you're a white male in Canada and your life has been declining significantly since 1986, this might be a reason why and so I guess just keep following my stuff and sharing it and hopefully I can question somebody that actually knows how to change these things because I don't know how to change it but I can bring attention to it.
