## Retrieved transcript summary
12 people are injured after an incident at Cultus Lake Water Park this morning. Emergency crews responded to the site on Columbia Valley Road at around 11:20. Paramedics provided medical care to a total of 12 patients. Two were taken to hospital by air ambulance, 10 others by ambulance. BC Hydro confirms the issue was electrical in nature and that it originated on the customer's side of the electrical service. The water park is closed to the public today, but does host school groups during the week for endofear field trips. Earlier today at 11:20 in the morning, we responded to reports of numerous individuals who who were suffering from injuries at a water park in Cultus Lake. So, paramedics and first responders attended very quickly, which allowed them to administer first aid to those affected. Uh the highway was closed closed down for a substantial amount of time to allow medical services to get those injured to hospital. 12 people were transported to hospital with serious but non-lifethreatening injuries out of more precautionary. The Chilowak RCMP continues to be engaged in the investigation which has now been transferred over to workplace BC. So this incident is not believed to be caused by human involvement. Uh it's an isolated incident and there is no further risk to the public at this time. Several were transported by an ambulance but on the road and then there there were at least two air ambulances that did attend the area which is another reason why we had to close the highway down to make space for the air ambulance to arrive and transport those injured to the hospital.

## Editorial handling
Use the common confirmed spine across the video and Global article: emergency response at Cultus Lake Waterpark around 11:20 a.m.; 12 patients treated/transported; two air ambulances; BC Hydro electrical-context statement; RCMP/WorkSafeBC investigation note. Avoid treating social-media speculation as fact. Note that some public reports/headlines differed on whether all injured were youth versus a mix of youth and adults; attribute wording to the source where needed.
