[033.1-039.2] Originally, they were convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced as adults.

[047.4-053.0] Because of a new Supreme Court of Canada ruling, the threshold for sentencing youth as adults
[053.0-063.4] is now so high, it must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they deserve it.
